Raquel Irvine grew up loving books of all shapes and sizes and cringes every time a book gets thrown in movies (because what kind of person does that in real life??). By day she works as a receptionist at a busy mixed animal veterinary practice and by night turns into a hollow eyed writer staring at the ever blinking cursor while she imagines worlds far away (both in time and space).

She now lives in the backwoods of Ontario, Canada with her amazing and handy husband, three wonderful children, and assorted pets ranging from horses to a bird and everything in between (re: vet clinic).
